FlightScope Announces Mevo Plus Product Line Changes

Limited Edition model going away while new standard Mevo+ gets upgrades.

We told you in a 2024 PGA Show report that FlightScope meant it when they said their Mevo Plus Limited Edition really was going to be limited. Well, the time has come to announce that we’ve reached that limitation. The Limited Edition model is now out of print.

Or is it?

Ya see, there’s some good news coming out of FlightScope’s product lineup shuffling and that is that everything that made the Mevo Plus Limited Edition special will now be available in the standard edition FlightScope Mevo+. And, for a limited time, you can save almost $350 on the new standard edition model. Read on for more details.

These product line revamping things always get confusing. But we’re going to break it down simply. Before we dig in on the details, here are the key takeaways:

  • The 2024 FlightScope Mevo+ Limited Edition model is discontinued. Very limited inventory remains.
  • The standard Mevo+ model is changing in color and in price. The new Mevo+ will be red and gray, similar to the look of the outgoing Limited Edition, rather than the old red-and-white look. And the new Mevo+ will retail for $2,299, which is $100 more than the outgoing standard-edition model.
  • The $100 price increase of the new standard-edition Mevo+ is more than justified with the inclusion of the premium E6 golf simulator course package that had been exclusive to the Mevo+ Limited Edition model. Now, with a regular Mevo+, you get biggies like St Andrews, Pebble Beach, Bethpage Black, and more, all with no subscription fees.
  • The Mevo+ Pro Package and Face Impact Location software enhancements remain available for purchase as add-ons to the new standard-edition Mevo+.
  • Adding the Pro Package and Face Impact Location package to the new standard-edition model equals the same software and price as the outgoing Limited Edition model. In other words, a fully-loaded standard Mevo+ is now the same as what FlightScope previously called their Limited Edition.
  • From July 1 to July 22, 2024, PlayBetter.com will sell the new standard Mevo+ for just $1,954. That’s $345 off the regular price!

So, what to make of the changes? Let’s unpack it all.

What’s New With the Standard-Edition FlightScope Mevo+?

The most obvious change to the Mevo+ is the color. It’s going from red and white to gray and white. The new look is very similar to the Limited Edition model.

But more significant than an aesthetic update is the serious upgrade to the simulator golf courses included with the new Mevo+. It used to be that you could only get this sweet package by buying the Limited Edition model, which cost $3,499 and included the data add-ons that not every consumer wanted to pay for. Now, for $2,299, with a standard Mevo+, you get this killer E6 Connect 12-pack:

  • The Old Course at St Andrews - Often referred to as the “Home of Golf,” it’s one of the oldest and most iconic golf courses in the world.
  • Pebble Beach - Famous for its stunning coastal views and hosting major tournaments including the U.S. Open.
  • Bethpage Black - Known for its difficulty and hosting several major championships.
  • Harbour Town - Host of the RBC Heritage and known for its distinctive lighthouse.
  • Bay Hill - Associated with Arnold Palmer and host of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
  • The Belfry - Famous in Europe, especially for hosting the Ryder Cup multiple times.
  • Banff Springs - Renowned for its scenic beauty in the Canadian Rockies.
  • The Greenbrier - Historic American resort with a long golfing tradition.
  • Wade Hampton - Highly rated in the U.S., known for its beautiful setting in North Carolina.
  • Aviara - Known for hosting LPGA events and its location in Southern California.
  • Panther Lake - Recognized for its design and natural beauty in Florida.
  • Oslo Golf Club - The most prestigious and oldest golf course in Norway.

If you plan to use a Mevo+ as a golf simulator, this is great news and is easily worth the $100 price increase between the outgoing standard model and this new gray Mevo+.

Just as with the previous standard-edition model, you can still add the Mevo+ Pro Package to get:

  • Face to path
  • Face to target
  • Dynamic loft
  • Club path
  • Vertical swing plane
  • Horizontal swing plane
  • Low point
  • Vertical descent angle
  • Curve
  • Club speed profile
  • Club acceleration profile

And things get even more exciting when you add the ultra-cool Face Impact Package, which shows you exactly where on the clubface you’re making contact. You can store all of that data, just as you can all the other data points, so that you can review your sessions and see how close to the center of the clubface you’re consistently hitting the ball. And the Face Impact Package adds two additional data parameters with lateral impact and vertical impact.

And without any add-ons, the new Mevo+ still includes:

  • Ball speed
  • Club head speed
  • Smash factor
  • Carry distance
  • Total distance
  • Launch angle
  • Spin rate
  • Spin loft
  • Apex height
  • Flight time
  • Angle of attack
  • Launch direction
  • Spin axis
  • Roll distance
  • Lateral landing
  • Shot dispersion
  • Shot type

Fully Loaded New Mevo+ Same as Outgoing Limited Edition Model

If you buy a regular FlightScope Mevo+ and add the Pro Package and Face Impact Location package, you’re getting what used to be called a Limited Edition Mevo+.

What made the Limited Edition special was the inclusion of the better simulator golf courses and the built-in Pro Package and Face Impact Location. Now, with the new standard edition, you get that better golf course package. And you can add the Pro Package and Face Impact Location if you want. If you buy those upgrades, you’ll pay the same as what you would have for a Limited Edition model.

So, the good news is that everything that made the Limited Edition special is still available.

And the better news is that a standard edition Mevo+ is now significantly improved.
