The FlightScope Mevo+ isn’t just the golf launch monitor that boasts the most data metrics in the under-$3,000 class. And it isn’t just one of the most accurate golf launch monitors at any price point. It’s also not just one of the most portable golf launch monitors available, making it perfect for both indoor and outdoor golf simulator or practice sessions.
All of those things are true of the Mevo Plus, of course, but it’s also true that this little launch monitor is system agnostic. Meaning, whether you own an iPhone or an Android, an iPad or a PC, you’re in business with the FlightScope Mevo+.
It’s one of the major selling points about this device, even if it doesn’t get as much attention as its vast array of data, incredible accuracy, and convenient portability.
And if you don’t think a golf launch monitor that works with almost every kind of device is a big deal, take a look around the market. Not every competing product is this flexible.
So, you probably already own everything you need to operate a FlightScope Mevo+. But let’s make sure.
What Are the FlightScope Mevo Plus System Requirements?
To use the Mevo+, you’ll need to install and launch the FS Golf app (for mobile) or download the PC software (included with purchase). The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and Android and is available for free on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
The Mevo+ connects to the app via a Wi-Fi signal that the Mevo+ outputs, meaning you do not need to have an internet connection to run the launch monitor.
The Mevo+ is not one of those golf launch monitors that you can use independent of another device. You will always have to have the Mevo+ paired to your phone, tablet, or computer to use it.
One thing to note is that there is no Bluetooth connection available with the Mevo+. It can be confusing when looking at the FlightScope website. On that site, there is mention in the Mevo+ specifications about Bluetooth LE 4.0. But that is referring only to the FS Golf app, not the Mevo+ unit itself. Because the original Mevo does connect to the app via Bluetooth, that information is there. But it does not apply to the Mevo+. Just to clarify: No Bluetooth connectivity with the Mevo+; only WiFi.

- Windows 10 64bit (required)
- Internal 5Ghz WiFi cards (required; dongle not supported)
While the FS Golf app does not require an internet connection, if you decide to use any third-party golf simulator software, such as GS Pro, an ethernet connection would be required.
