The previous Edge Explore GPS did not have activity profiles. This new version comes preloaded with road, off-road, and indoor activity profiles. And, you'll have Recovery Advisor on-device, as well!
With the Edge Explore 2 you can also and highlight popular roads and trails along with high-traffic areas. Trendline Popularity Routing is new to this device!

Does Edge Explore 2 Support Strava Live Segments?
The Garmin Edge Explore 2 GPS for cycling do not have Strava Live Segments support.
However, you can upload to Strava and use Strava Routes App.
