FAQs
What are the differences between golf launch monitors vs. golf simulators?
Launch monitors track your golf swing and ball flight. You can use this data to discover the strengths and weaknesses of your golf game. Launch monitors can also be used on and off the course. Home golf simulators are designed to provide an immersive virtual golf experience in your garage or home studio. They provide a more permanent setup and are often used with a launch monitor to input data to simulate a realistic golfing environment.
Are golf simulators good for beginners?
Absolutely. Golf simulators for home are easy to set up and easy to use. Once you're set-up, you can practice your swing and sharpen your skills whenever so you can confidently conquer the course when you're ready.
Can I put a golf simulator in my garage?
Yes. Our PlayBetter SimStudio™ Golf Simulator Bay Golf Enclosure comes in four different sizes. You'll want to measure your space to ensure that the size you choose can fit in your space. You'll also want to consider the ceiling height to ensure it's high enough to swing a golf club.
How quickly do your items ship?
We offer two-day shipping anywhere in the United States for most products. Most products are also eligible for free returns.
What golf simulators do the pros use?
While there's no one universal system every pro uses, when you turn on the TV and watch the top players warm up on the range, you'll see mostly Foresight Quad and QuadMAX golf launch monitors and simulators as well as Trackman. Those are, by far, the most popular options with tour pros.
Can golf simulator detect slice?
Yes, because many golf launch monitors and simulators can measure the spin on the golf ball as well as the angle at which the club is contacting the ball, they can accurately report a slice, hook, push, pull, or any other ball flight.
Are golf simulators worth it?
Golf simulators allow you to play very realistic, fun golf away from the outdoor course. It means you have the potential to play golf whenever or wherever you want. Does that sound worth it to you?!
How much depth do you need for a golf simulator?
That depends on the type of golf launch monitor and simulator system you buy. A radar-based golf launch monitor that sits behind the ball may require as much as 21 feet of room depth. With a camera-based launch monitor that sits to the side of the ball, you may only need enough room to comfortably swing a golf club.
Do you need an enclosure for a golf simulator?
It's generally a good idea to have some means of corralling the golf ball after it hits the net or impact screen or in the case of an errant shot to prevent damage to your surroundings. For that reason, an enclosure is highly recommended.
