How Much Space Do I Need for Foresight Falcon & PlayBetter SimStudio™ Home Golf Simulator Package?
The nice thing about a photometric golf launch monitor like the Foresight Sports Falcon is that the unit hangs from the ceiling and not from the enclosure frame. That means you need only enough room depth or length so that you can comfortably swing a golf club and your ball can hit the impact screen without ricocheting back into you. We recommend about 8 feet of space between the ball and your impact screen and a total of 10 feet of room depth to allow you to swing freely.
For ceiling height, you’ll need to take into account the height of the enclosure you choose while also making sure you can swing your longest golf club comfortably with no risk of hitting the ceiling. Those height requirements will vary depending on the height and swing planes of the golfers using the sim studio.
And for room width, you’ll again need to be mindful of which size enclosure you choose. And while your hitting area shouldn’t exceed the width of your enclosure, you’ll still need to test to be sure you have enough width to comfortably swing a golf club without the risk of damaging any walls.
